These MLAs are the younger brigade of the party and have the backing of anti-Modi camp.
New Delhi: With less than a month to go for Assembly elections in Gujarat, trouble seems to be brewing for BJP.
Six sitting MLAs of the party have resigned and will contest the elections on Congress ticket. The MLAs submitted their resignation to the Assembly Speaker on Saturday after they were suspended from the BJP for anti-party activities.
These MLAs, the younger brigade of the party, have been openly voicing their criticism of Chief Minister Narendra Modi.
But it is also a known fact that they've had the backing of top rebel leaders including Keshubhai Patel, Suresh Mehta and Kanshiram Rana, the anti-Modi camp.
The members are Dhiru Gajera, Bavku Unghad, Bechar Badani, Narendra Sinh Jadeja, Gopal Dua and Balu Bhai Tanti.
