New Delhi: A woman employee of BHEL had allegedly made a call impersonating Congress President Sonia Gandhi to Attorney General GE Vahanvati, sources said.
Attorney General Vahanvati received a call from a woman who claimed she was Sonia Gandhi's PA Anita Gupta. Delhi Police will file an FIR after Vahanvati complained about the call. According to the sources, police have conducted a preliminary enquiry into the call records and zeroed in on a landline number from which the call was allegedly made.
Sources said that the call was made when Sonia Gandhi was in USA for a medical check-up. The hoax caller strongly scolded the Attorney General over the coal blocks allocation case and even suggested that he should resign.
