New Delhi: In a show of strength, senior Congress leader Haroon Yusuf undertook a roadshow in Lal Kuan area of his constituency Ballimaran on Tuesday and it led to a huge traffic jam in the area.
Lal Kuan has its own importance and such programs are being held since Independence. But businessmen are not very much interested in these processions as it hampers their businesses.
"Such processions are being held since Independence. At times stage is also erected on the roads. But it results in huge traffic jams," says Mohammed Khan.
Even though people in this area are habitual of such a thing but they have a lot to complain.
"It creates a lot of trouble and it hampers our business. Leaders come only once in a while and no one cares about poor people. It does not matter who comes to power," says Wasim Khan.
Given the fact that roads are too narrow on this area, the movement of traffic is very slow due to the increase in number of rickshaws and such a roadshow makes it worse.
