The Delhi Police’s Special Cell on Friday detained two more people in connection with the Parliament security breach on Wednesday, involving two persons — Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan D — who jumped into the Lok Sabha chamber and released yellow gas from canisters creating panic among the MPs.
The two detained individuals have been identified as Mahesh and Kailash, both residents of Rajasthan and have an alleged association with a social media group called “Justice for Azad Bhagat Singh”.
Lalit Jha, a Kolkata resident alleged to be the key conspirator in the breach case, was detained by the Delhi Police after he surrendered on Thursday. Notably, Amol Shinde and Neelam Devi, who sprayed coloured gas from canisters while shouting “Tanashahi Nahi Chalegi” outside Parliament premises were already taken into custody along with Sagar and Manoranjan on Wednesday.
6th Accused In Parliament Security Breach Arrested
Delhi police on Saturday made the sixth arrest in the Parliament security breach case. Mahesh Kumawat was taken into custody today for allegedly helping the ‘mastermind’ Lalit Jha escape from Delhi.
Kumawat, who was produced in the Patiala House Court, has been sent to a 7-day police custody remand.
Lok Sabha Intruders Planned Self-Immolation But Went With Plan B
As Delhi Police continues to investigate Parliament security breach conspiracy, key conspirator Lalit Mohan Jha made some shocking revelations during the interrogation and said that he and other members of the group had originally planned to immolate themselves inside and outside Parliament. However, he revealed that the plan to self-immolate was to be acted upon only after applying a ‘fire retardant gel’ to minimise injuries.
Further revealing the reason behind abandoning the plan, Jha said that they had to drop the idea as they could not source the gel. The idea to drop smoke canisters inside the Lok Sabha was part of ‘Plan B’, Jha informed. READ MORE
‘Let Us Speak to Our Son Or Else…’: Parents of Accused Amol
Parents of Amol Shinde, one of the accused in the Parliament security breach, threatened to die by suicide if not given a chance to speak to their son. “Our son dreamt of getting recruited into the army and police at various places. He tried six times but failed. He did all this because of frustration because of unemployment. We should be allowed to speak to our son or else we will die by suicide,” Amol’s father, Dhanraj, was quoted as saying by Times of India.
BJP MP Pratap Simha Asked to Join Probe by Delhi Police
BJP MP Pratap Sinha was asked to join the probe being conducted by Delhi Police to understand how the two accused – Sagar and Manoranjan – entered inside Parliament. The police will investigate the circumstances due to which Parliament passes were given to these people.
The police will also investigate if anyone from the MP’s office is part of the conspiracy.
‘Accused Wanted to Create Anarchy to…’: Police
As the investigation into the Parliament security breach continues, the Delhi Police on Friday informed a local court that the accused wanted to create “anarchy” in the country to compel the government to meet their “unjust and illegal demands”. The police’s argument came while it was demanding custody of Lalit Jha, the fifth accused in the case.
Informing the court, the police informed that Jha took and hid the phones of other accused to destroy evidence as part of the larger conspiracy. It was revealed that Jha during the investigation disclosed that he threw his phone on his way from Jaipur to Delhi.
It is also being learnt that the police will take Jha to Rajasthan to locate the area where he threw the mobile phones to destroy evidences.
Police to Probe Foreign Link
The police in their remand plea to the court informed that they are also probing if there is any foreign connection in the case. “Actual motive behind the attack and Lalit’s association with any other enemy country as well as terrorist organisations are being probed,” police informed the court.
Delhi Police Special Cell to Recreate Crime Scene
The Special Cell of the Delhi Police will be recreating the scene of Wednesday’s Parliament security breach by taking the accused to the Parliament complex on Saturday or Sunday, news agency ANI reported citing its sources. The accused will be taken to Parliament to recreate the scene of the crime. This will help the police to find out how the accused entered the Parliament building with colour spray and how they executed their plan.

Someone Motivated Them, Scope of Probe to be Widened, Say Sources
The scope of the investigation into Wednesday’s security breach at Parliament will be widened as the ideology of the intruders alone could not have instigated them to jump into the chamber of the Lok Sabha with canisters of yellow gas, top intelligence sources told News18.
According to sources privy to the investigation, the quartet were aware of the repercussions of such a display of protest in Parliament. “There is someone who motivated them to go to this extent and this person is never seen in the picture. Lalit Mohan Jha is alleged to be the mastermind behind the plan, but he also possibly did all this on behalf of someone else,” a source said. READ MORE
