Ravindra Jadeja was simply unplayable against Australia, the Indian all-rounder picked up three wickets, giving away just 28 runs in his ten-over spell during the six-wicket triumph on Sunday, October 8.
Courtesy of his heroics, Jadeja broke into the top ten of the most wicket-takers list for the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 edition in India. The list of the leading wicket-takers is led by Netherlands’ Bas de Leede, who picked up four wickets in the Dutch side’s defeat against Pakistan.
De Leeded conceded 62 runs in his spell but came up with four scalps that put him right on top of the chasing pack. From Matt Henry in second place to Josh Hazlewood in eighth, all the bowlers are tied at three wickets each.

Shakib is followed by his compatriot Mehidy Hasan Miraz, another all-rounder who also has three wickets under his belt. South Africa’s Gerald Coetzee is next followed by Ravindra Jadeja at number 7.
The star all-rounder is the only Indian in the top ten list of most wickets after the first round of games.
Josh Hazlewood, is at number eight with three wickets, followed by Santner and Phillips.
