Months after the show got a full overhaul from the studios, D’Onofrio in a recent conversation has finally confirmed being part of Born Again.

Considering the latest development, it seems like the vibes are completely positive for Disney+ Hotstar and Marvel’s highly-anticipated series. The Kingpin star in a special conversation with Ashish Chanchlani spoke about his role as Kingpin in the MCU show. Apart from that, he also shared how Echo will be exploring the father-daughter relationship between his character and Alaqua Cox’s Maya Lopez.

“Going straight from ‘Echo’ to ‘Daredevil: Born Again’, the new series, it’s great. I haven’t had this much fun playing a character in a long time," he said.

As Ashish further went on to ask about the actor’s equation with Charlie Cox, known for playing Daredevil, D’Onofrio added, “We see each other so often. Even if we are not travelling during the press, we are working together on the show. Over time, we have become really good friends. We think alike when it comes to our dedication and commitment to our parts and the writing. Just the whole commitment to the situation we are in with Marvel. We are also very similar in our approach to our job which has evolved into a great relationship."

About MCU’s Echo

Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Echo features actors Alaqua Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio in the lead roles as they reprise their roles as Maya Lopez and Kingpin. Directed by Sydney Freeland and Catriona McKenzie, the five-part series shows Maya’s journey back to her family history and legacy.

Notably, the show marks Alaqua’s return after her character made an impactful return in the 2011 hit series Hawkeye. On the other hand, Vincent made his debut as Kingpin in the three-part series Daredevil and was formally inducted into the MCU with his role in Hawkeye. The show will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on 10 January 2024.
