Khushi Kapoor and Ibrahim Ali Khan will soon be seen sharing the screen space together for an upcoming entertainer, reportedly. Buzz is that Suniel Shetty has also joined the cast now. Shauna Gautam will be making her directorial debut with this film. She had previously assisted Karan Johar in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. She was also Rajkumar Hirani’s assistant director on Sanju.
A source close to ETimes shared, “Suniel plays an integral part in the movie. He is playing a character that is going to be very interesting.” The movie will be going on floors very soon.
Earlier a Pinkvilla report stated that the film is also said to be a direct to digital release. “It’s being planned as a direct-to-digital project to be produced by his digital wing, Dharmatics. The film will go on floors next year and will be directed by Shauna Gautam. The makers are in talks with a leading OTT player for streaming rights,” a source told the outlet.
“It’s one of those romantic comedies that Hindi Cinema is known for. However, Karan and co. feel that the palette of narrative fits better for the OTT than the big screen. It’s planned and will be executed as an OTT original,” they added.
Saif Ali Khan’s son Ibrahim Ali Khan is already working on his debut acting project. The actor will reportedly be seen in a thriller film with Kajol. Details of the film is still under the wraps.
Khushi made her debut with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies recently. She was seen sharing screen space with Suhana Khan and Agastya Nanda in the film.
