Katrina Kaif Thinks Vijay Sethupathi Is 'Phenomenal', Says Merry Christmas Is Her Most Difficult Yet
Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi are set to impress the audience with their dynamic in Merry Christmas.

The highly-anticipated film ‘Merry Christmas,’ directed by Sriram Raghavan and featuring the dynamic duo of Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif is all set to illuminate the silver screens on January 12, 2024. It promises to be a cinematic event, filled with twists and surprises. Recently, Katrina Kaif spoke about the film and called it her most difficult role yet.

Katrina recently attended the Red Sea Film Festival in Jeddah and said that her next film, Merry Christmas, is the most challenging film of her career yet. She said that working with director Sriram Raghavan had been a goal of hers. Katrina also added that her character in the film needed some emotional and artistic investment from her.

Katrina Kaif also spoke about working with Vijay Sethupathi and said that she found him to be phenomenal and expressed her admiration for watching him switch between Hindi and Tamil languages.

Produced by Ramesh Taurani, Jaya Taurani, Sanjay Routray and Kewal Garg, Merry Christmas is a collaboration that combines the vision and expertise of two esteemed production houses, Tips Films and Matchbox Pictures. With their commitment to delivering high-quality entertainment, the audience can expect a truly enthralling experience that will leave them wanting more.

Previously, the makers released the poster of Merry Christmas, revealing that the film will release Hindi and Tamil. Speaking with News18 exclusively earlier this year, Sriram revealed that while both versions will be a little different from each other.

“It’s not one film, it’s two films. There is a Hindi film, which has got Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif and one child along with a few other characters. There is a Tamil film with the same Vijay Sethupathi, Katrina and the child, and the other actors are different. So I wanted to make a Tamil film also since Vijay is a very acclaimed actor in the South and I thought it will be just good for us to make two versions of this film. They are broadly the same, 95 per cent they are the same but of course, language changes and some characters also I wanted to change so that it doesn’t look like a dubbed film,” he told us.
