For someone who has been working for victims of sexual assault for many years, actress Brie Larson did not look too pleased when she had to announce and hand over the Oscar to Casey Affleck on Sunday night. The actor who has been accused by multiple women for sexually assaulting them, walked up the stage to pick his award from Larson but the actress refused to applaud his win.

This was the second time where Larson had to hand over a trophy to Affleck. Earlier in January, at the Golden Globes, Larson did not hug Affleck as he walked up on the stage to receive his best actor award.
Affleck has been accused by two women, both who had worked on his films, of sexual harassment and abuse.
Interestingly, Larson shared a photo of her hugging Best Actress winner Emma Stone post her win on Instagram.
Larson, who has been an advocate of for victims of sexual assault for a long time has never commented on Affleck publicly though.
Interestingly, while Affleck went up on stage and stated he had learnt acting from Denzel Washington, his co-nominee, Washington did not look too happy being associated to the actor. As fans observed, Washington had his “"get my damn name out of your mouth" face on throughout.

While most pundits predicted Affleck’s win, they had not ruled out Washington’s name either. Denzel was being considered the strongest contender for the Best Actor award this year apart from Affleck. And the senior actor tearing up as Affleck spoke said a lot of things.
