When I Sense Something Malicious, I Start Talking About My Family: Anasuya Bharadwaj On Casting Couch
Anasuya Bharadwaj said that she could deduce the intention of the other party in front of her in just three minutes of talking to them.

Telugu actress Anasuya Bharadwaj’s claim to fame has been the highly popular TV show Jabardasth where she has been the anchor for years. Her role as an anchor and TV presenter gradually paved the path for her entry into the Telugu film industry. In 2016, she appeared in an item song in Soggade Chinni Nayana opposite Nagarjuna. Later, in the same year, she made her debut with Kshanam in which she portrayed a negative lead role. She shot to pan-India fame with her role as Dakshayani in Pushpa: The Rise, a role that she is reprising in the sequel.

In a recent interview, Anasuya talked about the dark and lesser-spoken side of the showbiz industry, the casting couch. Many actresses have been subjected to this side of the film industry in the early phases of their careers and Anasuya was no different. In the interview, she said that she could deduce the intention of the other party in front of her in just three minutes of talking to them.

She added that when she realises that the person is crossing boundaries or has some malicious intent, she immediately changes the topic. She further said that she starts talking about her husband and two kids when she senses a casting couch proposition. This way, she deviates from the topic.

Anasuya emphasised that to thrive in the film industry, it’s essential not to cause harm to anyone and to maintain a neutral stance without engaging in disputes. She believes that fostering positive relationships is the key to ensuring that interactions remain pleasant and conducive to future collaborations.

Anasuya Bharadwaj also receives her share of trolling, another nuisance that celebrities generally have to face. Last year, Anasuya was seen recreating a few songs from well-known actresses from the past, like Savitri, Jamuna, Sridevi, and Soundarya, during an award ceremony. She resembled the star in clothes and makeup, and she even shared pictures of herself on social media. She faced trolling for the same but the actress said that she remained unaffected by it.
