New Delhi: Sudha Shivpuri, who garnered huge popularity for essaying the role of elderly 'Baa' to Smriti Irani in the long-running TV soap opera 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi', passed away this morning.
The ailing theatre, film and TV veteran had been recuperating at her residence in Mumbai after she suffered a stroke in December 2013. She was also hospitalised for over two months.
Sudha began acting at a very young age to support her mother. Sudha's Bollywood career kicked off with Basu Chatterjee’s film Swami (1977). She was also seen in popular films such as like 'Hamari Bahu Alka', 'Insaaf Ka Tarazu', 'Sawan Ko Aane Do', 'Burning Train' and Maya Memsaab.
