Actor Tom Holland has fans buzzing with excitement as he shared some updates on Peter Parker’s future in the multiverse saga. During an appearance on the Rich Roll Podcast, the actor opened up about the direction of Spider-Man 4, hinting at a bold new chapter where Peter Parker navigates a world where no one remembers his superhero identity. A few weeks ago, it was announced that Shang Chi director, Destin Daniel Cretton has been roped in to helm Spider-Man 4.
During the podcast, Tom also disclosed that he and Zendaya recently read the script together, and their reactions were priceless — both stars were so captivated they could hardly believe it was all set to become a reality.
\Tom Holland said, “We have working on it now, we have a creative and a pitch and a draft which is excellent, it leads work but the writers are doing a great job. I read it 3 weeks ago and it really like lit a fire in me. Zendaya and I sat down and read it together and we at times were bouncing around the living room, like this is a real movie worthy of fans’ respect. There’s a few things we need to figure out before we can get that really going but it’s exciting and I’m really excited about it.”
Although he didn’t slip up this time, Tom Holland added, “I’d love to one day, if I’d be lucky enough to somehow bring Miles Morales into my Spider-Man universe and into the MCU. I’d love to do it for a young kid.”
The actor shared that his life took a dramatic turn at a young age, spending a decade in the industry before finally landing the iconic role of Spider-Man — a moment that transformed his life. He expressed gratitude for those formative years, which allowed him to grow, make mistakes and understand the nuances of being on set. Acknowledging the challenges of stepping into the Spider-Man suit, he revealed that he had to learn a great deal in a short time, making the journey both demanding and rewarding.
Currently, Marvel Studios has not released any additional details about Spider-Man 4, but fans can expect an announcement soon. Tom Holland has played Peter Parker in three standalone Spider-Man films — Homecoming, Far From Home and No Way Home — alongside Zendaya as MJ. His character has also been featured in several other Marvel movies, including Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Endgame and Avengers: Infinity War.
