How brilliant is James McAvoy in the trailer!
Los Angeles: Indian-origin filmmaker M Night Shyamalan has released the trailer of his latest movie Split.
The video begins with Kevin (a scary, shaven-headed James McAvoy) kidnapping three teenage girls and locking them in a basement.
The story has been kept largely under wraps until now. Shyamalan's most recent outing The Visit was a neat old-school horror, also centring around a teenaged girl, and it seemed like a return to form for him after high concept flops After Earth and The Last Airbender.
McAvoy has been joined in Split by Anya Taylor-Joy, who shone in her starring role in The Witch. Split is produced by Jason Blum, who is considered the new godfather of horror. "Split" will release in cinemas on January 20, 2017.
