A prominent name in Tamil cinema, actor-comedian Premgi Amaran tied the knot to his longtime partner, Indhu, on June 9. Before the wedding, the media was rife with unverified information about Premgi’s bride, some claiming that she is from the entertainment industry and has also worked as an actress. Premgi Amaran and Indhu shared their wedding vows at the Tiruttani Murugan temple, this past Sunday, with the blessings of both families. Ahead of the wedding day, numerous speculations were being made about Indhu, which included her career and other things. Now, debunking all the earlier rumours, it is being reported that Indhu is a bank officer from Salem, Tamil Nadu.
As per more reports, Premgi and Indhu have been together for three years and it was Indhu who was the first to propose. Furthermore, she is believed to be 20 years younger than her husband. However, to get the approval and blessings of his parents first, Premgi waited for a year to convince them of their union and was successful in doing so.
Their wedding was attended by some of the biggest names in cinema like Jai, Shiva, Vaibhav, Aravind Akash, Ramya and many others. The actor’s brother, filmmaker Venkat Prabhu took to his official Instagram handle to share new images from the wedding ceremony. The two images capture the bride and groom together, looking like a gorgeous South Indian couple in traditional wedding garbs. Indhu is wearing a navy blue kanjeevaram saree with gold borders, while Premgi has opted for an all-white ensemble in a silk veshti and shirt of the same material.
