There is no denying the fact that Salman Khan rules Bollywood. The actor, who has been part of films that managed to set the cash registers ringing at the box office in 2016, has proved his supremacy over his contemporaries once again.
Salman has been successful at beating Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan to become the highest advance tax payer for the financial year 2016-17.
If reports are anything to go by, the actor has paid a whopping Rs 44.50 crore as advance tax, which is a lot more than Rs 32.50 crore which he paid last year.
As far as Akshay and Hrithik are concerned, they paid Rs 29 and Rs 23 crore respectively this year.
While Dangal was a Box Office hit, Aamir Khan paid Rs 14 crore as advance tax.
What’s even shocking is that Kapil Sharma, who had paid 7 crore last year, paid Rs 23 crore for the financial year 2016-17.
Amongst the actresses, Deepika Padukone is way ahead of Alia Bhatt and Kareen Kapoor.
While Deepika paid Rs 10 crore as advance tax, Alia paid Rs 4.3 crore and Kareena just about Rs 3.9 crore.
