Rohit Shetty Gives His Day an Action-packed Start

Rohit Shetty’s films are packed with action and so are his days. Best known for Singham franchise, Golmaal series and Chennai Express, Rohit is son of legendary stuntman-actor,M B Shetty. The 47-year-old filmmaker took to his social media handle to give a peek of how he started his day.

He shared a behind-the-scenes video filming a trademark action sequence. We see a car turning over after which the ace director says, “CUT.”While sharing the clip on his Instagram on Monday, Rohit asked his fans and followers, “So…how did you start your day???”

Earlier, Rohit shared a video where he can be seen lifting a prototype car. He jokingly mentioned that he doesn’t need protein shakes or supplements to perform the stunt. He added that lots of clarified butter and homemade food does the trick.

Meanwhile, Rohit is currently awaiting the release of his much delayed cop drama, Sooryavanshi. The third in his cop universe stars Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles. Sooryavanshi was earlier scheduled for release in March last year. However, owing to the pandemic and the resulting lockdown, the date was repeatedly postponed by the makers. Now, the film is slated for April2021 release.

Rohit has also announced his next titled Cirkus with Ranveer Singh. The film marks the duo’s third collaboration after Simmba and Sooryavanshi, wherein Ranveer will be seen in an extended cameo. Cirkus, based on William Shakespeare’s classic play The Comedy of Errors also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Pooja Hegde and Varun Sharma in lead roles. The latest to join the cast is Ranveer’s wife, actress Deepika Padukone. She will feature in a dance number and will have some conversation dialogues. Deepika will work with Rohit after they last teamed up for the 2013 hit Chennai Express.
