Pallavi Joshi is the recent addition to the list of faculty, who has come forward to support the protest going on in FTII. The popular television and Marathi actress has shown her discomfort on the recent appointment of BJP member Gajendra Chauhan as FTII Chairman.
According to reports, Pallavi Joshi has written to the Information and Broadcasting Ministry saying she does not wish to be part of the FTII faculty. The national award winner supported the students protest against the appointment. Earlier, filmmaker Jahnu Barua and Cinematographer Santosh Sivan rejected a place on the FTII baord.
Pallavi said,"I have resigned from the FTII society because of this cloud of negativity. What is the point of being in the society if the students are disgruntled.If this is how it will be then we will just have compromised filmmakers and cinematographers and I refuse to be a part of this."
