Marvel Would Suffer ‘A Huge Loss’ If Guardians Of The Galaxy Doesn’t Return: Zoe Saldana
Zoe Saldana revealed that she was not interested in playing Gamora again. "But it would be a huge loss for Marvel if they didn’t find a way to bring back the Guardians of the Galaxy," she said.

Zoe Saldana, better known for her iconic role of Gamora in the Guardians of the Galaxy film series, feels that Marvel would receive a huge blow if they do not bring back the much-loved superhero movie. Comprising three volumes, the James Gunn directorial was based on Marvel Comics, taking viewers on the journey of intergalactic heroes. The trilogy ended last year, with James Gunn confirming the same, leaving no door open for another Guardians of the Galaxy film. However, Zoe Saldana begged to differ. The actress opined that even if she does not return as Gamora, the Marvel character must not be “gone for good”.

During an appearance on an upcoming episode of The Playlist’s Discourse podcast, Zoe Saldana revealed that she was not interested in playing Gamora again. But, as per the actress, the character was still existent in the multiverse of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). “I mean, so far, I think that (Gamora is done) for me, but I don’t think Gamora has gone for good,” she said, as quoted by The Hollywood Reporter.

“I would think it would be a huge loss for Marvel if they didn’t find a way to bring back the Guardians of the Galaxy. It’s just such a fan-favorite group of misfits, you know? And then at the helm, they had a voice like James Gunn’s writing — which is just so marvelous for and very specific for this genre. And it’s so great for this genre as well,” continued Zoe Saldana, before adding that she would be the first one to “celebrate” if and when Guardians of the Galaxy makes a comeback. This indicates that even if she was not a part of the film, her love for the series was still very strong.

Besides the three Guardians of the Galaxy movies, Zoe Saldana slipped into the shoes of Gamora for Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. James Gunn wrapped up Volume 3 by creating a new team of “Guardians” which included Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper), Groot (Vin Diesel), Cosmo (Maria Bakalova), Adam Warlock (Will Poulter), and Kraglin (Sean Gunn). Marvel has not announced any “Guardians” film featuring them so far.

Meanwhile, Zoe Saldana is busy promoting her latest immigration drama The Absence of Eden. Directed by Marco Perego, the film also stars Adria Arjona and Garrett Hedlund in important roles.
