‘It’s Because Of Him I Am Here:’ Producer Vijay Chandran Heaps Praises On Santhanam

The Tamil horror flick titled Guardian is all set to hit the theatres on International Women’s Day, that is, March 8. Headlined by Hansika Motwani, this woman-centric movie is directed by Sabari and Gurusaravanan. The movie also stars Suresh Menon, Sriman, Mottai Rajendran, Pradeep Rayan and Tiger Thangadurai. It marks the debut production of Vijay Chandar, who has previously been a part of movies like Vaalu, Sketch and Sangathamizhan. Recently, he credited actor-producer Santhanam for his success in the industry. Recently, at a press conference, actor Thangadurai said, “Vijay Chandar introduced many people in the film industry. It is because of him that I am standing here.” Responding to this, the producer said, “Thangadurai said that he is here because I introduced him. Santhanam also introduced me to Simbu.” He further added that Santhanam placed his trust in him and because of that the ace filmmaker, Simbu heard his story and he got the chance to make Vaalu, which starred Silambarasan TR (Simbu), Santhanam, Hansika Motwani and VTV Ganesh. Ever since, his friendship with Simbu has been going strong.

In the press conference, Vijay Chandar further added that he could make the Sketch movie with Vikram in the star because of his previous movie Vaalu. He credits Vaalu and actor Vikram, because of whom he wants to accomplish greater things. All this paved the way for his next movie, Sangathamizhan which was headlined by Vijay Sethupathi, Raashii Khanna and many others. He concluded, “Santhanam is the starting point of all merits in the order.” He added that if not for him, then he would not have been here.

Speaking of the upcoming movie Guardian, Hansika Motwani will be seen in the role of a ghost in it. She was last seen in 105 minutes, another horror flick. Guardian’s teaser was unveiled a couple of weeks ago which gained massive traction online. It showed Hansika Motwani getting possessed by a ghost wanting exact revenge. Assumably, the movie has a social message for the viewers. The music department is being handled by Sam CS and the camera work will be handled by KA Shakthivel.
