A video that surfaced on social media shows Moushumi Chatterjee walking past the photographers at an event. As soon as someone from the crowd takes the name of actress Jaya Bachchan, she quickly turns back and says, “I am a much better person than Jaya Bachchan,” with a smile.

The actress added, “Agar aap loh nahi hote toh hum idhar nahi hote [If it weren’t for you people, I wouldn’t be here.” The veteran actress’s remark was light-hearted as she spoke jokingly with the photographers. The video was shared by Namaste Bollywood on their Instagram handle.

Earlier in an old interview on Lehren TV, Moushumi Chatterjee mentioned that she was replaced by Jaya Bachchan after three days of shooting in the film Koshish. “I shot for three days and I was able to understand that some manipulations were going on. I saw Jaya Bachchan’s secretary in the set and she was there from morning to night. And all of a sudden Gulzar da came to me and said that have to be here till late at night from the next schedule. I had a baby and so I told him that I would not be able to be at the set. I also mentioned that I could only shoot in one shift. Then, in front of everyone, he said that there were many actresses in line. I got triggered and said to take them.”
