Just like many fans and celebrities worldwide, Punjabi singer Gurdas Maan is also all praises for Shah Rukh Khan. Admiring his humble demeanour in a latest interview, the singer opened up about his experience of working with Shah Rukh during the filming of their project together years back. FYI, Gurdas Maan and Shah Rukh Khan worked together in Yash Chopra’s Veer-Zaara.
Gurdas Maan was speaking with TV9 Bharatvarsh when he heaped praises on Shah Rukh Khan for being respectful towards him. He shared, “Shah Rukh ji to bohot pyar karte hain. Veer-Zaara me saath kaam kiya thoda sa. Usne jab jappi paaya maza aaya. Aisa pyaar satkar karne wala fankar. Aur apni gaadi me le ja ke mujhe jo khana-peena tha wo khilaya aur gaadi tak bitha ke gaya. Adab, saleeka, tarika, tehzeeb, yahi cheezein kalakaar ko banati hain. Nahi to aapko koi nai puchhta (Shah Rukh Khan loves me a lot. We have worked together in Veer Zaara. The way he hugged me was exceptional. He took me to his van, and we ate. And then he dropped me at my car. He has good manners. Humility, etiquette, good manners, and being well-cultured are the only things that make you a good artist. If you miss these qualities, then nobody will care).”
In case you don’t know, Veer-Zaara was released in 2004. The epic romantic drama starring Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Rani Mukerji, revolved around Veer Pratap Singh and Zaara Hayaat Khan who fell in love with each other and hailed from different countries India and Pakistan, respectively. Apart from the lead cast, the film also had Manoj Bajpayee, Hema Malini, Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher and Divya Dutta in key roles.
Meanwhile, after impressing cinephiles with his performance in Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki, Shah Rukh Khan is now working on his home production King, directed by Sujoy Ghosh. The film is one of the most highly anticipated projects as it marks the collaboration between the superstar and his daughter Suhana Khan. Apart from King, SRK will also be seen in Aditya Chopra’s Tiger vs Pathaan soon.
