Fawad Khan Finally Speaks Up, Says Little on Uri or Pak Terror
Fawad Khan's Facebook statement ended up saying precious little on what he thinks of the goings on.

Pakistani actor with a formidable Bollywood profile Fawad Khan finally opened his mind on the escalating tensions between Islamabad and New Delhi post the Uri attacks, but his Facebook statement ended up saying precious little on what he thinks of the goings on.

Fawad Khan, along with Mahira Khan, Ali Zafar and a few other Pakistani actors looking for a career in Bollywood, had been slammed by a few of their co-actors in Hindi cinema and sections of the media for not condemning the Uri attack of September 18 wherein a group of terrorists had crossed over from Line of Control and attacked an Indian Army post killing 18.

“I've been in Lahore since July as my wife and I had been expecting our second child. I've received numerous requests from the media and from well wishers worldwide asking me for my thoughts on the sad incidents that took place in the past few weeks. As a father of two little children, I pray and wish like many others that together we can build and live in a more peaceful world. I believe we owe it to our children who will shape our tomorrow.

This is the first time I have spoken on the matter. Please disregard any other words attributed to me during this time because I have not said them. I thank all my fans and fellow artists from Pakistan, India and people in general all over the world who have shown continued support for their belief in love and understanding to unite a divisive world," Khan said in a short Facebook post on Friday.

Earlier, as the focus shifted to Pakistani actors, there were reports that Khan had left for Lahore fearing backlash. However, in this post he makes it clear he has been in Pakistan from July.

The Uri attacks took place in September 20 and India had retaliated on September 30 by launching a surgical raid against terrorists inside Pakistan territory across LoC.
