Shah Rukh Khan’s debut show, Fauji, is making a comeback with a sequel after 36 years. The series, which was directed and released by Lt. Col. Raj Kumar Kapoor in 1988, launched Shah Rukh on television in a leading role and made his a household name. Now, it has been revealed that Fauji is getting a sequel. The show, titled Fauji 2, was announced on Tuesday, October 15, and it has been revealed that Ankita Lokhande’s husband Vicky Jain will be starring in the lead.
Trade expert Taran Adarsh took to social media and shared the news. He also revealed that Gauahar Khan will also be seen in the show. Besides starring in the series, Vicky is co-producing the show with Sandeep Singh. The show will be aired on Doordarshan.

He also shared that 12 new actors will be launched in the show. “#SonuNigam has lent his voice to the title track of #Fauji2… The show will feature eleven songs, with music composed by music director #ShreyasPuranik… #SharadKelkar has done the voiceover,” Taran Adarsh added. Fauji 2 will be directed by Abhinav Pareek.
Fauji, which released in the 1980s, was also aired on Doordarshan.The how revolved around a new set of recruits who were finding they footing in the Indian Army. The show shed light on their achievements, failures and struggles. Shah Rukh played the role of Abhimanyu Rai. It is reported that the character was inspired by Lt. Col. Sanjoy Bannerji of the Bombay Sappers, Indian Army. The show was a massive hit and is still revisited by fans.
