The highly anticipated Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 trailer was unveiled today in Jaipur’s Raj Mandir. The star cast of the film – Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, Triptii Dimri, and Rajpal Yadav – along with producer Bhushan Kumar and director Anees Bazmee graced the event. The trailer met with a positive response from fans gathered at the venue. But what particularly grabbed attention was Madhuri Dixit Nene and Vidya Balan sharing screen space and even doing a classical jugalbandi number. Towards the end of the trailer, they come together, asking the audience who the real Manjulika is.
Addressing the press and their fans at Raj Mandir, Kartik reacted to the scene that met with a loud applause. “I think, for every actor, you experience a crazy moment when you know that something magical is going to happen even before a shot gets filmed. One such shot was the one featuring both Vidya ma’am and Madhuri ma’am where they both ask ‘Kya lagta hai, kaun hai Manjulika?'” he shared.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 marks Kartik’s first collaboration with both Madhuri and Vidya and naturally, he was left overwhelmed at the prospect of working with ‘two of these legendary actresses of our times’. “It was a big moment for me too personally, to shoot that scene with both of them together and share screen space with them. It was a creepy, thrilling and horrific scene and yet it was a lot of fun while enacting it,” he said.
Kartik went on to reveal that this last shot in the trailer was shot twice in two different ways. “We had shot the scene in two ways. Pehle humne film ke hisaab se shoot kiya but then Anees liked it so much that he wanted us to shoot it again for the trailer with me in the costume of Rooh baba,” he stated.
Heaping praises on Vidya and how much he appreciates her ability to switch on and off while playing a character, Kartik remarked, “I was truly mesmerised watching Vidya ma’am work and perform. I learned so much from her. She has the quality of presenting the most complicated thing onscreen with a lot of simplicity. She’s known for making reels on social media aur humare saath masti mazaak karti rehti hai but once the camera turns on, she becomes the character. I’m really inspired by Vidya ma’am.”
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is all set for a theatrical release on November 1 and will clash with Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again at the box office. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 also features Sanjay Mishra, Ashwini Kalsekar, and Rajesh Sharma in pivotal parts.
