Andhra Pradesh Assembly Elections: Nandamuri Balakrishna Files Nomination From Hindupur For Third Time
Nandamuri Balakrishna disclosed his assets and debts in the election affidavit. Balayya's assets are valued at Rs 81.63 crore.

While the Lok Sabha elections are underway in the country, the preparations for the assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh are going on in full swing and nomination papers are being filed by candidates. Renowned Telugu film actor and Hindupur Telugu Desam Party MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna is once again contesting from the same constituency. He has earlier won twice from this constituency.

Nandamuri Balakrishna, accompanied by his wife Vasundhara and senior party leaders, arrived at the Revenue Divisional Office amidst a rally. Supporters from TDP, JSP, and BJP turned out in significant numbers to participate in the event. The actor’s fans and party members enthusiastically chanted slogans like ‘Jai Balayya’. Before the rally, Nandamuri Balakrishna and his wife conducted a special puja at the nearby Suguru Anjaneya Swamy temple. Speaking to the media afterwards, he expressed his intent to contest from the Hindupur constituency for the third consecutive time.

On Friday, the actor-politician, accompanied by his wife, submitted his nomination papers as a TDP contestant to the Returning Officer at the Hindupur RDO office. Nandamuri Balakrishna disclosed his assets and debts in the election affidavit. In terms of their properties, Balayya’s assets are valued at Rs 81.63 crore, while his wife Vasundhara’s holdings amount to around Rs 140 crore.

Balayya’s debts stand at around Rs 9 crore, whereas Vasundhara’s debts are reported to be around Rs 3 crore, according to the details provided in their election affidavit.

Following the nomination filing, Nandamuri Balakrishna addressed the media, highlighting the substantial development in the Hindupur constituency. He emphasized the resolution of issues such as the drinking water problem and the construction of CC roads and culverts in various mandals and villages. Despite the removal of canteens by the YCP government, he noted that meals were arranged for 400 people in Hindupur. Balakrishna expressed gratitude for the immense admiration the people of Hindupur have for the Nandamuri family.
