Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna’s Pushpa 2: The Rule is one of the most-awaited movies and there is no doubt about it. While fans are eagerly waiting for the film, they were recently left worried after rumours claimed that Pushpa 2 might be postponed. However, the makers of the movie have finally clarified that it is not the case.
Recently, Peeping Moon reported that editor Antony Ruben has left Pushpa 2 due to date related issues. The entertainment portal claimed that Naveen Nooli might be roped in to complete the film’s editing. This left fans wondering if the change in editor might lead to delay in Pushpa 2’s release.
However, the makers have now clarified that Pushpa 2 is not getting delayed and will hit theatres as scheduled i.e. on August 15, 2024. “Pushpa 2 will be releasing on August 15; that’s a firm commitment,” a source close to the production told Hindustan Times. “Allu Arjun will complete shooting for the film this month, and by June, the rest of the shooting will be wrapped up. So there’s no possibility of the film being delayed,” another insider added.
Recently, Pinkvilla reported that the theatrical rights for Pushpa 2 have been acquired by Anil Thadani on an advance basis for Rs 200 crore. Prior to this, another report by Siasat claimed the makers are reportedly demanding a staggering Rs 1,000 crores or more for the theatrical rights deal for all languages. The report further suggested the film is expected to outperform SS Rajamouli’s RRR, which grossed a whopping Rs 900 crores in theatrical rights. However, there is no official confirmation regarding this as of now.
