Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshallah is one of the films that has been the most talked about for a long time. Calling it his one of the dream projects won’t be wrong. A few years ago, Alia Bhatt and Salman Khan were set to star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshallah. However, the film is now shelved due to unknown reasons. But reports were saying that Salman Khan was replaced in the film due to creative differences with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Reacting to the same, Alia Bhatt said whatever the director is the best for the film.

In conversation with The Lallantop, Alia Bhatt said, “I am doing another film with Sanjay sir called Love and War. I hope he makes the film someday, because it is a brilliant story. It is a lovely love story,” the Jigra actor said.  When the anchor joked that they might have to ‘replace the hero’ and cited the ‘creative differences’ that reportedly emerged between him and Bhansali, Alia smiled and added, “Whatever Sanjay sir decides will be the best for the film!”

According to Bhansali, Alia Bhatt was deeply affected by the sudden halt of the project, to the point where she locked herself in a room to cope with the news.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Bhansali opened up about the emotional toll Inshallah’s cancellation took on Bhatt. While discussing his approach to working with actors and finding their raw essence as performers, the acclaimed filmmaker recalled how Bhatt reacted to the scrapping of Inshallah. “She broke down, she cracked up, cried, raved, ranted, and locked herself in a room,” Bhansali shared.

Looking ahead, Bhatt and Bhansali are set to collaborate again on Love And War, a grand project that will also feature Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. Bhansali, in his conversation with the publication, mentioned that this film is particularly important and challenging, and he’s determined to pour everything into it. The epic love triangle is expected to release in March 2026, and fans are already buzzing with anticipation.

Currently, Alia Bhatt is seen in Jigra with Vedang Raina. The film revolves around brother and sister story. The film was released on October 11 and clashed with Rajkummar Rao’s Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video.
