Ajay Devgn Accuses Karan Johar Of Paying 25 Lakh To KRK to Discredit Shivaay, Demands Probe
It's an all out war between Ajay Devgn and Karan Johar, Kamaal R Khan on the other.

Celebrity wars and Twitter spats aren't something new in Bollywood. This time, it's an all out war between Ajay Devgn and Karan Johar with Kamaal R Khan playing a key role.

Devgn, who is not pleased with KRK bad mouthing his upcoming film Shivaay, has accused Karan Johar of launching a campaign to disgrace his soon to be released film. The film is set to clash with Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in Diwali.

Getting his co-producer Kumar Mangat on board, Devgn asked him to call KRK and find out the real reason behind his malice. In the recorded telephonic conversation, which has now surfaced on the Internet, KRK is heard admitting that he has received Rs 25 lakhs from Johar to speak positive things about Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

In an official statement, following the phone call, Devgn has demanded an investigation to expose the truth and to find out whether Karan Johas has actually paid KRK.

He wrote, “I have been a part of the Indian film industry for the past 25 years and have been associated with over 100 films. My father was a professional action director and I have an emotional connection with this industry. It therefore pains me to see that people like Kamaal R Khan are holding the film industry to ransom by spreading negativity about films to extort money from producers. It is very sad that people from our own industry are supporting such elements and spoiling the ethos of the film industry. I would strongly demand that this be thoroughly investigated by competent authorities to clarify if Karan Johar was indeed involved in this."

Devgn futher took to twitter to share the recording and wrote, "Hear what self proclaimed no. 1 critic and trade analyst Kamaal R Khan has to say".

In an exclusive interaction with CNN News18, Kumar Mangat said that it is clear that he (KRK) was paid to do this. "He clearly says that he had to appreciate because he was paid 25 lakh. The legal team is looking into the matter seriously and will take an action against the concerned person."

He further added that the legal team will decide the category of crime this falls into. "If it is a cyber cirme or just an FIR, they will decide and take appropriate action".
