It was a starry night to remember, Apurva Pravin Thakur was adjudged the winner of the ‘Miss Teen Universe India 2019’ in Noida Film City on December 18. Ten contestants competed for the most coveted title with their attitude, personality, allure and glamour.
The winner hails from Mumbai and is currently pursuing Bachelor of Architecture from Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia. She was crowned in Noida’s Marwah Studious by the previous year’s winner Srishti Kaur. “I am really excited to represent India at Teen Universe 2019. I would like to thank everyone for the love and support,” said Apurva.
Apurva has now advanced to the next level of the competition and will be representing India in Panama (USA) for the title.
While Palak Kholi from Delhi bags the first runner-up, Chavi Mehal of Delhi was declared the second runner-up.
The finalists were selected from pan-India on the basis of an online audition.
The event witnessed an opening dance act on ‘Ganesh Vandana’. After which, the finalists were given a chance to introduce themselves in front of the spectators. Finalists proved their mettle by facing tricky and brain-twisting questions from the panel of eminent judges including Dr. Rita Gangwani, Aarti Kapur, Tammana Singh, Sharmila Jethmalani, Asma Gulzar and rapper Maddy.
