While opening up about fashion and family with People magazine, the singer revealed that she has an “expansive collection” of her impeccable red carpet looks and costumes stored away for her little girl. The magazine quoted Katy as saying, “Everything is in a warehouse — it’s like the closet scene in Clueless. It’s all itemized by picture and number. Daisy is going to have a lot.” Mother to a 20-month-old daughter, Katy also revealed that currently, her daughter is relishing the “mommy-and-me” matching outfit phase, and added that everyone has a limited time before the kids won’t want to wear what you pick out for them, “so you must get it done while you can.”
The singer also said that her daughter is an inspiration for her footwear line, Katy Perry Collection, which she just got complete ownership for. She added that Daisy has brought a lot of joy in her life and that her name was inspired by the rom-com You’ve Got Mail. For those who don’t know, Katy welcomed her daughter in August 2020, whom she shares with her fiancé Orlando Bloom—who is also dad to 10-year-old Flynn with his ex-wife Miranda Kerr.
