In 2013, Santosh Ahlawat of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Sharwan Kumar of INC by a margin of 50,219 votes which was 28.6% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 61.99% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Sharwan Kumar of INC won this seat beating Santosh Ahlawat of BJP by a margin of 7,214 votes which was 5.27% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 32.84% in the seat.
