HYDERABAD: A B.Tech student from Chennai was arrested for creating a fake Facebook account of an MBBS student and posting objectionable content on it. The accused also sent objectionable MMS of the girl to her friends and also photos to her relatives which led to severe damage to the girl's character, police said. The accused, G Krishna, hails from SR Nagar here and is currently studying B.Tech final year at Satyabhama University in Chennai. City's cyber crime police inspector G Venkatesham, Krishna did his schooling in Abhilasha Residential School at Toopran. While studying SSC, he fell in love with a girl. The girl left the school to study Intermediate elsewhere but Krishna pursued Intermediate education at the same institute. “After the girl left the institute, Krishna used to tell her former classmates that he was in love with her. Unable to bear his pestering, the girl's friends made the two meet. At the meeting Krishna expressed his love for her and took photographs of them in an objectionable manner,'' Venkatesham said.Recently, Krishna created a fake ID of the girl and posted the objectionable photos in it. Simultaneously, he sent MMSes of the photographs to her friends and also took copies of the photos and delivered them by hand to some of her relatives. “With the photos posted on the Facebook and circulated through MMS among her relatives and friends, the girl was subjected to humiliation,'' the inspector said.Based on a complaint lodged by the girl's father, cyber crime sleuths tracked down the IP address of the Facebook account and nabbed Krishna in Chennai. He was produced in a court here which remanded him.
