Woman robbed of jewellery

CHENNAI: A woman was robbed of her jewellery at the Adyar Cancer Institute on Sunday.A Panjatcharam (63), of Ramnad, was at the institute with her husband Angaram (70) who was admitted for cancer. Their son Raja was a resident of Anna Nagar (West). On June 3, she was commuting between the hospital and her son’s house. On Sunday, Raja came to visit and on not finding his mother went in search of her. He found her unconscious in the parking minus her jewellery. She was a diabetic and could have fallen unconscious. Taking advantage of the situation, the thief could have stolen her gold chain, ear studs and  phone, police said.
