BANGALORE: BEML Limited, a public sector company, observed the Vigilance Awareness Week at all the units of the company from October 31 to November 5.Shankar Bidari, IPS, Director General of Police, CID, who was the chief guest on the occasion released a journal titled ‘Vig Kiran’, brought out by BEML which contains a compendium of directives and guidelines issued by Central Vigilance Commission, Ministry of Defence, Department of Public Enterprises, Ministry of Corporate Affairs and the market regulator. The officials said that this would facilitate easy access for relevant information for all stakeholders and accomplish the goals of a company in a fair, accountable and transparent manner.Bidari stressed the importance of creating awareness on corruption-free society and the spirit of nationalisation. Adding to this, Kavitha Kesthur, Chief Vigilance Officer of BEML, briefed on the Vigilance Awareness Week. Various programmes like the slogan competition essay writing and cartoon/poster making were organised for employees and executives of the company on the occasion.
