Patna: Bollywood playback singer Udit Narayan on Saturday filed a complaint against media persons for allegedly intercepting his vehicle and indulging in a scuffle with his security guards when he was leaving the state women commission's office after accepting Ranjana Jha as his wife.
Udit filed the complaint with the Kotwali police station where an FIR was registered against unknown media persons, Deputy Superintendent of Police (law and order) Amar Singh said.
Singh said police would verify the veracity of the complaint and take legal action.
Udit stayed at the commission's office for nearly two hours on Friday and did not speak to the waiting mediamen after the proceedings were completed.
The security personnel had a tough time escorting the singer to the waiting car as mediamen jostled to take his comments and had even reportedly banged his car to protest Udit's private security guards who had constantly pushed the mediamen aside.
Both Udit and Ranjana had reached a compromise while deposing before the commission and had signed a bond wherein the singer accepted Ranjana as his wife marking the end of a three-month drama of a bitter marital discord.
