Two killed, over 20 injured in blast in Peshawar

Peshawar: Two police officials were killed and over 20 injured in a blast in Peshawar on Wednesday, according to reports. The explosion took place outside a CID check post in the city in Pakistan.

Authorities said the high intensity explosion shattered windows of nearby buildings. The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack.

This came just two days after the 17-hour terror siege at the Karachi naval base that killed 14 people, including 4 militants.

Terror attacks have been on the rise after al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden's death in Pakistan with the group and the Taliban vowing revenge.
