The thieves entered the Laxminarayan Mandir at Chavndiya village on Wednesday after cutting the over-head iron net and escaped using the stairway with booty consisting of black stone idols of Lord Krishna and Radha, ten silver ornaments, flute and donation box containing cash, the police said.
The temple was locked from outside when the devotees noticed the theft early on Thursday morning, they said, adding the priest was not present inside at the time of burglary. No one has been arrested so far, they said.
