London: India's Manavjit Singh Sandhu failed to enter the final of men's trap event as he finished 16th in the qualification round of the 2012 London Games here at Royal Artillery Barracks on Monday.

The former World Champion got a total score of 119 with an average of 0.952. His best performance came in the fourth round where he had a perfect score of 25. However, it was a little late as he scored a low 22 in the previous round.

Going into the second day of qualification, Manavjit had slim chances as he was 25th out of 34 after the first day of qualifying round. Manvjit performance also marks the end of a successful campaign for Indian shooters as they won two medals.

Gagan Narang bagged the bronze in men's 10-metre air rifle event while Vijay Kumar won the silver in the 25-metre rapid fire pistol.
