State government issued grant of another Rs 30 crore for constructing additional buildings.
Chennai: Observing that integrated buildings accommodating the registrar and sub-registrar offices are being constructed at 17 places in Tamil Nadu at an estimated cost of Rs 48.90 crore, government on Wednesday issued grant of another Rs 30 crore for constructing additional buildings for registrar offices during the current financial year.
The buildings will be equipped with solar power generation facility and Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa has issued the administrative approval of Rs 30 crore towards this purpose, an official release said.
In 2011-12, Jayalalithaa issued financial grant of Rs 26 crore for construction of own buildings for 52 sub-registrar offices, the release said.
