Telangana Congress leaders to meet Pranab

HYDERABAD: Telangana Congress MPs, ministers and MLAs  would meet Union finance minister Pranab Mukherjee and other top party leaders on June 15 to press their demand for granting statehood to the region. It is learnt that Pranab Mukherjee has invited all the Telangana Congress MPs, ministers, MLAs and MLCs to attend the meeting in his office chambers on June 15.They would also meet Union minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, in-charge of Congress affairs in Andhra Pradesh on that day.It may be recalled that the Telangana Congress public representatives at a meeting held here on Sunday, have decided to meet the Congress core committee members who include Pranab Mukherjee, P Chidambaram, AK Anthony and Sonia Gandhi's political secretary Ahmed Patel in New Delhi with a request that the Centre should take a favourable decision on Telangana at the earliest before the Telangana movement get intensified.They would remind the top leadership that Mukherjee had earlier asked the pro-Telangana leaders to wait till elections in five states gets over. They have even decided to go on an indefinite hunger strike from July 1 if the Centre fails to take a decision on T.
