Suspension of trade union leaders stayed

CHENNAI: The suspension of LT Thomas and Chandrasekaran from the DMK and from the TN Civil Supplies Corporation Employees Union, affiliated to the DMK, were stayed by a city civil court on Thursday.A perusal of the documents, affidavit and bye-law 7 clearly revealed that proper procedures were not followed for the suspension,  the XVI assistant judge said and granted interim injunction till October 7.Thomas and Chandrasekaran were reportedly in the DMK for over 35 years and in the union for about 30 years. There arose a dispute over holding election to the union, following which they were suspended by an announcement in party organ Murasoli.
