Stay on trade licence cancellation

BANGALORE: The High Court on Friday has stayed the cancellation of trade licence to Shrusthi Charitable Trust by the BBMP for alleged surrogate trafficking and has directed the trust not to admit any surrogate candidates.Shrusthi Charitable Trust situated at Mahalakshmi Layout had filed a petition in the High Court that the Medical Officer BBMP (Mahalakshmipuram range) had cancelled their trade licence.They contended that the BBMP had inspected their premises on May 5, 13 and 20. Their licence was cancelled due to practicing alleged surrogate trafficking. They had contended for granting a stay on the cancellation of the licence.
