State government doing good job: Governor

BANGALORE: Governor H R Bhardwaj on Wednesday heaped praise on Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda for his “efficient governance”.    He said that the government is doing a good job.When asked about the delay in appointing the Lokayukta, he said that it does not come under his purview. “If the state government recommends an efficient and eligible candidate, I will approve him on the spot.” Further, Bhardwaj added that he cannot recommend anyone for the Lokayukta post. “In fact, I gave the nod in two hours when Justice Shivaraj V Patil’s name was recommended for the post,” he added.
