BHUBANESWAR: Member, Board of Revenue, Satya Prakash Nanda has been appointed as the next Chairman of the Orissa Electricity Regulatory Commission (OERC).He will succeed BK Das, a Karnataka cadre Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer.Belonging to 1975 batch, Nanda is one of the most senior officers in the State.Official sources said Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday cleared the file relating to his appointment before leaving for Delhi.Nanda, who is to retire in March 2012, was shortlisted by a selection committee headed by Justice BP Das of the Orissa High Court recently.
