Mumbai: After making a musical 'Jaan-E-Mann', Shirish Kunder has tried to be different with fantasy adventure drama 'Joker' and the filmmaker hopes it helps him explore new genres.
"The problem with trying innovative things is that no one believes you when you are making it. The entire process is full of struggles," Kunder tweeted.
"The acceptance to #JOKER will make it possible for me to explore new genres and fresh stories. I will attempt a new genre with every film," he added.
The film, releasing Friday, features Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles.
Sonakshi begins shooting for 'Once Upon...' sequel
It seems that here is no breathing space for Sonakshi. After wrapping up 'Son of Sardar' with Ajay Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha has already started shooting for the sequel of 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai'.
'Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2' shoot started today! cannot wait to join my team shortly and start work on this film... positivity all around! am loving it," Sonakshi tweeted Wednesday.
The sequel also features Akshay Kumar, Imran Khan and Sonali Bendre.
'Chittagong' selected for Gandhinagar International Film Festival
Manoj Bajpayee starrer 'Chittagong' will be screened at the opening night of the Gandhinagar International Film Festival to be held from Aug 30 to Sep 2 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
Directed by former NASA scientist Bedabrata Pain, the film is based on a little known incident in the 1930s British India, where a handful of untrained teenage boys and girls, led by a school teacher, gave the British their first military defeat.
The film is presented by Anurag Kashyap Films Pvt Ltd and Bohra Bros Production Pvt Ltd and features Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Raj Kumar Yadav of 'Ragini MMS' fame,
'Chittagong' is slated for nationwide release Oct 12.
