BANGALORE: Sightsavers International, a UK based charity that works towards eliminating avoidable blindness across the globe, concluded the fourth partners meet at Sankara Eye Hospital on November 29. RV Ramani, founder and managing trustee, sankara eye care institutions, India inaugurated the event along with Srinivas Sawanth, area director, sightsavers and Mohan Kumar, general secretary, national association for the blind.The seminar saw participation from all southern states including Maharashtra.Over 50 delegates from 32 organisations shared success stories, lessons learnt and best practices from the implementation of sightsavers-supported projects in eliminating avoidable blindness and promoting equality of opportunity for the visually disabled as a means to facilitate social inclusion.Sightsavers, have over 100 partners across 17 states in India. They bring eye healthcare, educational support, training and development to visually impaired people.
