Update: Samsung has started sending out invitations for the Galaxy S4 launch event to be held on April 26. The media invite confirms our report.

New Delhi: The India launch of Samsung's flagship smartphone, Galaxy S4, which according to our source, was scheduled for April 25, will now happen on April 26, confirmed the same source with knowledge of the Galaxy S4 launch plans in India. He also said that the phone will be available for under Rs 40,000, while its MRP will be around Rs 42,000.

Unveiled on March 14, the Galaxy S4 has a 5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels at 441 ppi. The Galaxy S4's screen is 56 per cent larger than the iPhone's. It weighs 130g and is 7.9 mm thick; it's slimmer than its predecessor.

The phone has an internal memory of 16GB, which can be expanded up to 64GB, and has 2GB RAM. Powered by a 2600 mAh battery, its battery is 20 per cent larger than that of the S III. Running Android 4.2.2 OS, the Galaxy S4 has a 13 megapixel auto focus camera with flash and zero shutter lag. It has a 2 megapixel front camera with Full HD recording @30fps with zero shutter lag.

Its dual camera feature lets you shoot with the front and rear cameras simultaneously. When capturing moments, users can choose from a variety of frame effects which blend the two pictures naturally and also adjust the size of the small picture inside the big one. Users can select 8 different ways to combine the two photos taken by the front camera and the rear camera.
