Financial assistance will be provided to those who are ready to set up farm unitswith two, five and ten cows along with five, ten and twenty calves respectively. Funds will also be provided for purchasing milking machines and constructing modern cattle sheds. The district has registered a growth of 20.15 per cent in milk production during the last year. “We could register the remarkable growth as a result of the projects implemented by the Central and state governments and the local bodies,” Unni said.
