Frames that evoke fun, joy, tears and fear all are lined up on the display boards under a single roof at VJT Hall in the city.
The moments frozen on frames communicate the facets of reality from different angles. ‘Portfolio-2012’, the exhibition of photographs taken by the lensmen working for various media organisations in the city, was inaugurated by Cultural Affairs Minister K C Joseph on Wednesday.
People, events, politics, nature, moments, expressions and much more have become subjects for the photos. All photographs accompany catch words and captions underneath, either in Malayalam or English.
For visitors, the exhibition is a one-stop destination to see the pictures which have appeared in various media at different times. And also to meet those behind the photographs who are familiar to them through photo credits.
This is for the third consecutive year that the exhibition is being conducted. The exhibition has been organised by Capital Lens View, the press photographers’ fraternity, in association with Thiruvananthapuram Press Club; Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Kerala; and Kerala Tourism.
In the exhibition, snaps by 52 photographers are displayed. Each photographer has come up with three pictures snapped by them. Photographs taken by Express lensmen N P Jayan, Kaviyoor Santhosh and B P Deepu are also exhibited. The three-day event will come to a close on Friday.
