CHENNAI: While the Coast Guard says it is not aware of its ship colliding with a country boat off Pamban, a enquiry has been launched into the May 10 incident after it received a letter from Chief Secretary of Tamil Nadu, said Director General of Indian Coast Guard, M P Muralidharan, here on Saturday.Addressing reporters, he said a high-level enquiry would look into the incident in which 19-year-old Calvin Miller drowned.“As far as the CG is concerned, we are not aware of any of our vessels hitting it (the country boat). But we have ordered an enquiry and till the enquiry is not over I don’t want to comment,” he said, adding he had taken the letter from the Chief Secretary, written on the direction of the Chief Minister, “very seriously.”
